Privacy-first prototype. The business details you enter in the interactive form remain in your current browser session. We have not connected a database, email submission, analytics account or payment processor to this prototype.

1. Who is responsible?

This preview is branded Business DIY. The operator's full legal identity and a dedicated privacy contact will be published before any public commercial launch. This notice is a preview-stage explanation and will be updated when the service begins collecting data.

2. Information you enter in the plan builder

The demonstration may ask for a business name, business activity, existing website address, target area and goals. These answers are used by JavaScript in your browser to display an illustrative plan. The form does not send those answers to a Business DIY server, and it does not save them in browser storage. Closing or refreshing the page clears them.

3. Technical information and hosting

Like most websites, the service hosting this preview may process technical request data such as an IP address, browser information and request times to deliver and protect the site. Hosting-provider processing is distinct from the demonstration form. Details will be reviewed and added to the production privacy notice before launch.

4. Cookies and analytics

This preview's own code does not set analytics or advertising cookies and does not use browser local storage. We have not added a marketing analytics tracker. If optional analytics or other non-essential cookies are added later, we will update this notice and provide consent controls where required.

5. Payments, accounts and emails

There is currently no checkout, account registration, mailing list or contact form on the preview. Before these features launch, we will identify the service providers, categories of personal data, legal bases, retention periods, recipients and privacy choices that apply.

6. Your rights

Depending on the processing involved, UK data protection law can give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object or complain. Further information is available from the Information Commissioner's Office. We will provide a dedicated contact route before the public launch.

7. Updates to this notice

We will revise this notice before the service starts accepting payments or storing personalised plans. The date above will change when the revised notice takes effect.
